Dr. Roizen is Chief Wellness Officer at the Cleveland Clinic and Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University . He will give the featured lecture on brain health at the CBHI annual Retreat.
After earning his B.A. from Williams College and his M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Roizen completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Harvard's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His faculty appointments include UCSF, University of Chicago where he was chair of the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care and Pain Management, and SUNY Upstate where he served as Dean of the School of Medicine.
Dr. Roizen is the inaugural Chief of Wellness at the Cleveland Clinic, and is famous for his concept of RealAge, in which controllable factors that affect length and/or quality of life are identified and optimized. He is the author or co-author of five New York Times best selling books on health and wellness.
