The Center for Civic Engagement and Learning (CCEL) works to create an engaged campus by providing community-based opportunities that promote civic awareness and student leadership while addressing community needs. CCEL offers a variety of programs to accommodate your interests and schedule, including one-time service events, ongoing weekly service programs, and educational training about community issues, responsible engagement, and voter registration. You may even choose to take your service commitment to the next level as a Civic Engagement Scholar and complete 30 hours of civic engagement and education over the course of the academic year.
You can start right away by participating in a CWRU in CLE: Serve & Explore trip during Discover Week. Sign up for a trip through your Roadmap.
