At Case Western Reserve University, we strive for a culture of gratitude and a willingness to positively impact the community that surrounds us.
The effects of COVID-19 have challenged each one of us. And those who never thought of themselves as vulnerable are being impacted in untold ways. The needs in our community are greater than ever.
But our university has come together to show strength, resilience, empathy, and generosity in response to this pandemic. Some of you have even asked, “How else can I help?
For those who are able, please consider donating to this year’s Charity Choice campaign. This annual opportunity demonstrates how we can make a difference with our contributions to connect with humanity, engage with our community, and have a meaningful impact in greater Cleveland.
Because this is a unique year, this year’s campaign had to be different. There are no campaign chairs or donation goals, just this one simple ask that you might consider giving.
For those who are unsure of which group or organization to contribute to, suggested agencies are below. You can also donate to any independent 501(c)(3) organization of your choice.
- United Way of Greater Cleveland is the leading convener and funder of partnerships focused on solutions for the community’s health and human service priorities. United Way makes a difference in the lives of 450,000 people throughout Greater Cleveland.
- Greater Cleveland Community Shares addresses the root causes of social problems facing our neighborhoods, our community, and our region. Member organizations provide education, promote health care, protect children and women, advance home ownership, provide job training and employment, build neighborhoods, and work to end discrimination.
- EarthShare Ohio is a nonprofit that connects environmental organizations with employers, people, and communities to protect our planet. EarthShare beneficiary organizations provide vital services in the areas of environmental education, pollution prevention, recreation and trails, natural resources conservation, and more.
This year’s campaign will run through Dec. 16.
