Departmental Admin Center Newsletter - Volume 7

This newsletter seeks to answer some of your common questions about accessing student data in SIS as well as bring you timely updates and information. Topics of volume 7 include:

Reviewing Degree Candidates

The university will award degrees on May 19, 2023. Before this date, you can review your degree candidates in one of these ways:

  • In the DAC by clicking the Exp Grad Term column. Expected grad terms are sorted alphabetically, not chronologically, so look for Spring 2023 in this column. The Grad Status column will let you know if they applied to graduate in this term.
  • In the University Data Portal by navigating to CWRU Analytics >Explore >SIS - Student Records >Degree/Certificate Candidates.

On or after May 19, most of you will no longer see your graduates in the DAC or through the Student Services Center in SIS, but you can still view them:

  • In the University Data Portal by navigating to CWRU Analytics >Explore >SIS - Student Records >Awarded Degrees/Certificates.

Report of Students with Subplans

Have you been looking for subplans? They are not currently available in the Departmental Admin Center, but we have a new report for you!

It will generate the list of students you have access to with their program, plan, and subplan.

To access this report:

  • Login to SIS and select the Staff Home page.
  • Select the Reporting Center tile, then the Admin Center Reports tile.
  • Under Queries, choose the HTML or Excel link to the right of CW_SR_ACTV_STDNT_W_SUBPLAN.
  • You will be prompted to select a plan.

Enrollment by Sex or Race/Ethnicity

Additional data are now available in the Enrollment by Department report which is located in the university’s data portal.

To access this report, go to data.case.edu. If you’re not already logged in to Single Sign-On (SSO), you will be required to log in.

  1. Select CWRU Analytics.
  2. Choose the folder General Institutional.
  3. Select the workbook Student Enrollment.
  4. Within the Student Enrollment workbook, you’ll find the new reports:
    • Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity, Enrollment by Sex
