Gabriela Cuconato is a Ph.D. candidate and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Organizational Behavior at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Gabriela received a Master of Science in Business from the Getulio Vargas Foundation and holds a B.S. in Management from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
Gabriela's research interests focus on how work relationships influence collective organizing within organizations, especially regarding how personal preferences and relational structures shape interpersonal choices and coordination at work. Specifically, Gabriela studies how organizing features, practices, and structures shape and are shaped by interpersonal dynamics, within three specific streams: (1) teamwork processes and outcomes, (2) honest behaviors, and (3) individual and relational dynamics of nestedness in multiple levels.
This has important implications for teamwork, shared goals, and workers' well-being, particularly in a world characterized by dynamic and unpredictable conditions. Her areas of interest include the interpersonal dynamics of honesty and everyday truth-telling at work, self-disclosure in the workplace, teamwork processes and dynamics, the disclosure of unethical behaviors, and individual differences within groups.
