Gregory Harmon

Gregory W. Harmon is an experienced investor, trader and former banking executive who brings his real world experiences into the class room to illustrate and punctuate his teaching. His past experience in product development and business acquisitions give insights into financial analysis and deal making. As a practitioner he is constantly living and breathing securities markets and new financial technology. His 2014 book, Trading Options: Using Technical Analysis to Design Winning Trades, outlines his market philosophy.

Harmon teaches Investments, Money and Banking, and Corporate Financial Technology. He is founder and president of Dragonfly Capital Management. There he provides expert technical analysis and trading ideas using stock and options. He is also a President of Dragonfly Capital Managed Accounts (DCMA), an asset management firm investing for clients in separate accounts. Harmon has more than 25 years of trading experience at BNP Paribas, State Street and JPMorgan.

Harmon holds the CMT (Chartered Market Technician®) and CFA (chartered financial analyst) designations. He chairs the Membership Committee of the CMT Association and is a co-head of the North East Ohio Chapter of the CMT Association. He speaks at conferences throughout the country on using Technical Analysis for Investment Management and Options Trading.

Harmon earned a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
