Suzanne Healy, EdD, received her doctorate in education from Capella University and her Master of Education and Bachelor of Science in information technology management from Western Governors University. She holds post-master’s certificates in educational leadership and accountability and curriculum and instruction from Capella University and is currently completing a Master of Nonprofit Organizations at Case Western Reserve University. She holds professional certifications from Comp-TIA, CIW, Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Adobe.

Healy worked in healthcare administration and sales management for many years before transitioning to academia. She joined the Weatherhead School of Management in 2009 and has held several positions in faculty support and instructional design for the school. She is currently the director of distance education and an adjunct faculty member.

As a practitioner scholar, Healy’s research interests lie within the domain of technology enhanced learning with a particular interest in the efficacy of virtual educational experiences and the development of community in an online learning environment.
