Many variables can contribute to its effectiveness, including clarity about who makes which decisions; having established and well-functioning processes for governance; and whether there is a structure in place to assure effective communication. Appropriate preparation of those who are tasked with leading is also an important success factor. Leslie Dashew, who uses her combined background in organizational development and family therapy in her work with family businesses, will draw on her 40 years of experience in this workshop exploring the “perils and pleasures” of governance and how to develop the necessary systems and structures in your family enterprise.
