2019 Weatherhead Undergraduate Student Awards

The Weatherhead School of Management is pleased to recognize the following undergraduate students for their excellent work at Weatherhead during the 2019 academic year:

  • The Weatherhead School of Management Award given to the most outstanding senior in accounting. This year's recipient is Oliver Richman.
  • The Andrew D. Braden Award for Excellence in Auditing and Financial Reporting Studies is given to a student whose achievement as an undergraduate in auditing and financial reporting subjects is recognized as demonstrating attributes consistent with professionalism and leadership. This year's recipient is Piotr Kotowski. 
  • The Thomas Dickerson Award for Excellence in Professional Accountancy Studies is given to a student whose high academic achievement and leadership in the integrated studies program in accountancy is recognized as exemplary. This year’s recipient is Timothy Mayer.
  • The recipients of the Cashy Family Scholarship Award are John Dorow and Heather Wattles.
  • The Louis E. Levy Scholars in Accountancy are exceptional undergraduate accounting majors who will be entering professional graduate studies and demonstrate the ability to advance to accounting profession and provide leadership for future generations of accountants. This year’s recipients are Piotr Kotowski and Marissa Muth. 
  • The Wallach-Lee Families Scholarship Award recipients are Mark Gusley and Nigel McDonald.  
  • The recipients of the Charles & Barbara Webb Scholarship Award are Kiyla Cooper and Lauren Flannery.
  • The Beta Alpha Psi Award recipient is Jacob Berg.
  • The Beta Alpha Psi Scholars Recognition Award recipient is Aletheia Uechi.
  • The Beta Alpha Psi Leadership Award recipient is Marissa Muth.
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (Cohen & Company Award) recipient is Brian Dunlap.
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (Deloitte Award) recipient is Han Nguyen. 
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (EY Award) recipient is Zi Wang. 
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (KPMG Award) recipient is Lauren Fitzpatrick.
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (Meaden & Moore Award) recipient is Igor Tutelman.
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (Plante Moran Award) recipients are Samuel Jenkins and Liliana Wolberg.
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (PwC Award) recipient is Emily Ahlstrom. 
  • The Dean’s Award in Accounting (Skoda Minotti Award) recipients are Morgan Beaver and Noah Veres.
  • The Apple Growth Partners Scholars Award recipient is Natalie Walton.  
  • The Excellence in Accounting Award recipients are Peter Abou Haidar, Tatum Naylor, Peyton Russoniello, and Yuan Yuan.
  • The Dean's Achievement Award recipients are Nina Dingel, John Dorow, Nicole Doyle, Brandon Dunbar, Lauren Flannery, Sarah Kim, Hunter Lantzman, Maggie Tyma, Heather Wattles, and Jack Webb. 
  • The H.W. Kniesner Prize is awarded to an outstanding senior in economics. This year's recipient is Morgan Wood.
  • The Marvin J. Barloon Award is given for outstanding performance in economics. This year's recipients are Shrey Agarwal, Miranda Deppisch, Kieran Gallagher, Marisa Katz, Jee-Yeon Kim, Nicholas Leberer, Aayush Parikh, Anastasia Petropoulos, Kevin Qian, Maxwell Speil, Jessica Stoner, Emma Toth, Xin Ling Yuan, and Lance Zhong.
  • The Robert N. Baird Award is given for academic excellence and leadership in extracurricular activities. This year's recipient is Kelsey Holmberg.
  • The James Dysart Magee Award is awarded to an outstanding student in economics for the senior year. This year's recipient is Tomer Eliahu.  
  • The Howard T. McMyler Award is awarded to an outstanding junior majoring in economics. This year's recipient is Alec Hoover.  
  • The Gardiner Scholarship is awarded to a junior majoring in economics who is interested in finance. This year's recipient is Elizabeth Lee Radics.
  • The recipient of The Cheryl A. Casper Economic Prize to a senior for academic excellence is Karen Lee. 
  • The Economics Department Achievement Award recipients are Priyal Chadha, Marcus Daly, Joseph Hnath, Kelsey Holmberg, Roman Kouznetsov, Elise Melsom, Vinicius Okada da Silva, and Victoria Sung.
  • The Weatherhead School of Management Award given to the most outstanding senior in management. This year's recipient is Zhixin Chen.
  • The Financial Executive’s Institute Award recipients are David "Dee" Gose and Aletheia Uechi. 
  • The recipient of The Roulston Performance Award for outstanding performance in management is Emma Savino.
  • The Nellie Chittenden Carlton Prize is awarded to a senior in management whose outstanding work in the general field of economics shows the greater promise of leadership. This year's recipient is Shrey Agarwal. 
  • The Matthew Leskiewicz Award is given to a senior in the Weatherhead School of Management for outstanding leadership and service. This year's recipient is Isabel Torres-Padin.
  • The Robert O. Berger, Jr. Award is given to a junior who demonstrates overall achievement in scholarship, as well as notable community participation and leadership. This year's recipient is Ethan Glickstein.
  • The recipients of The Kevin J. Semelsberger Prize for excellence management are Peter Abou Haidar, Yuan Yuan, Kayele Silue, and Xihang Bian.
  • The Wolstein Family Award for Excellence in Business Venture Plan Development is given to a student enrolled as a major or minor in Weatherhead undergraduate programs whose business venture development plan is considered to have the highest promise to be successfully initiated. This year's recipient is Carly Kwait.
  • The Iris Wolstein Award for Excellence in Business Venture History is given to a student whose work on projects and/or coursework related to the study of Cleveland business venture history is determined to have made a significant contribution to the understanding of the business development in Northeast Ohio and related environs. This year's recipient is Oliver Richman.  
  • The Outstanding Business Management Student Award recipients are Oliver Richman, Eliana Ondrejko, and Sanjana Madishetty. 
  • The Outstanding Finance Student Award recipients are Jacob Micham and Zhixin Chen. 
  • The Outstanding Marketing Student Award recipients are Eliana Ondrejko and Emma Savino.
  • The Excellence in Business Management Award recipients are Tyler Holsopple, Hannah Cao, and Isabel Torres-Padin.   
  • The Excellence in Finance Award recipients are Hunter Lantzman, Brian Dunlap, and Hannah Cao. 
  • The Excellence in Marketing Award recipients are Ellen Walter, Joy Ho, Enyou Wang, and Hanna Yoshida. 
  • The Weatherhead School of Management Dean's Achievement Award for excellence in scholarship and leadership is given to Caleb Branton, Jonathan Fan, Yuhang Han, Michal Jastrzebski, Joshua Lehrberger, Danielle Thompson, Michael Wu, and Xinru Yang.
