The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has extended Weatherhead School of Management’s global accreditation for its business and accounting programs.

“This accreditation reflects the decades long tradition of excellence that’s become the hallmark of Weatherhead,” said Co-Dean Andrew Medvedev. “Be it cutting-edge research that targets real-world problems, innovative teaching in our programs, or the rich and interconnected student and alumni community, AACSB’s accreditation validates Weatherhead’s leadership in the field of management education.”

For more than a century, AACSB accreditation has been synonymous with the highest standards in business education. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.

The AACSB visits Weatherhead every five years for the continuous improvement peer review to maintain high quality and extend its accreditation. The most recent visit happened this past fall.

AACSB accreditation is specific to business education and is only issued to 5% of the world’s 13,000 business programs. Weatherhead has been an AACSB-accredited business school since 1958.
