While attending the Weatherhead School of Management for Master of Engineering Management, Nicole Wodka-Cook often worked with her cohorts on team projects. Today, she continues to work with others on team projects. The only difference is that the projects she is working on now involve the critical components employed in the steering rockets at hypersonic speeds.
Wodka-Cook is a general manager, space actuation & avionics at Moog Space and Defense Group. “I am so fortunate to work with such an amazing team of engineers and technicians,” she said. “Moog has a unique culture, which is people focused, making what I do every day such a fun and rewarding experience.”

Favorite CWRU/Weatherhead memory?
"I remember spending a lot of time in the Peter B. Lewis building - late nights in the downstairs working on team projects and learning so much from the other students and the program."
Something interesting you're working on personally or professionally?
"Buffalo is the city of good neighbors, and I am working on ways I can personally and professionally give back to the community. I am on the board of trustees of a Buffalo charter school and am part of the 2024 Leadership Buffalo cohort. As for work, we are working on ways to engage young girls and women to STEM and have recently done work with the Girl Scouts."
Any advice for students?
"As I have progressed in my career, I realized that before I could truly thrive and advance in the ways I wanted to, I had to become my own best advocate and supporter instead of my own worst critic. After I realized that simple shift in thinking I had a whole new way of looking at myself personally and professionally."
