The Fowler Center would like to say Congratulations to Narcisz Fejes and her CWRU Food Institute seed sprint team for their presentation at the Seed Sprint Report Out and Think Big Update that took place on Friday, May 3rd. During the event, seed sprint teams shared their outcomes, challenges, and next steps of their projects. The CWRU Food Institute, appropriately named the Terra Center for Global Food Security Studies, seeks to offer resources and transdisciplinary research and mentorship opportunities, unifying any current food initiatives at Case Western Reserve University under the umbrella of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which begins with food security for all.
During the sprint, the Food Institute team held a retreat at the University Farm. Megan Buchter, from the Fowler Center, supported the preparation and execution of the retreat with knowledge of Appreciative Inquiry. Using Appreciative Inquiry for the retreat, the group was able to bring together participants from all across the CWRU campus and community including, professors, students, staff, and non-profit leaders to discover, dream, and design the future of the Food Institute at Case Western Reserve University.
