The Fowler Center participated in the annual GiveBackHack Cleveland event this past weekend, September 21st-22nd, as a mentor for the participating teams.
GiveBackHack is a weekend long event bringing together passionate community members to develop sustainable solutions to the community's most pressing social problems. The weekend begins with the rapid pitching of ideas followed by voting on ideas and team formation. Then the teams have the weekend to build their solution. The weekend culminates with teams pitching their ideas to a panel of judges and winning money and support to continue with their ideas.
The Fowler Center was excited to participate in the event for the second time in a row as a mentor for the project teams, bringing Appreciative Inquiry methodologies and a unique perspective on social entrepreneurship.
