How to infuse artificial intelligence (AI) with the organization’s human intelligence to drive innovation and operational efficiency? This is the question businesses around the world are grappling with today as a result of the rapid expansion of AI. On March 1st, the Weatherhead School of Management is hosting an AI symposium - Leading in the Age of Artificial Intelligence - to help business leaders answer this question.
Thought leaders in the field of AI, led by Weatherhead’s Youngjin Yoo, will discuss ways to bridge the gap between AI technology and business strategy. Keynote speakers include Michael Jabbour, chief innovation officer of Microsoft U.S. Education; Dr. Tinglong Dai, professor at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School; and Mike Rojas, chief innovation officer of AXS.
“I think one of the biggest challenges organizations are struggling with regarding incorporating AI is not just technical, it’s also human, strategy, and organization issues,” said Yoo. “Simply put, they are trying to find the best way to utilize AI as a leverage for their people power to create new business models and to make their organizations stronger. Imagine 50% - 75% of what we currently do will be done or augmented by AI with 30 - 40% of productivity gain. How will it change the way we should think about management practice, education, and research? I believe this symposium will provide insight and examples on how this is best achieved.”
Along with the speaker presentations, there will be several panel discussions, led by leaders in a variety of industries, including finance, banking and manufacturing. In addition, Weatherhead faculty will lead a discussion on the approach of incorporating AI into graduate programs.
The symposium will be held in the Peter B. Lewis building on Friday, March 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $149.
