Meet the 2024 Alumni Award Winners

We recently recognized several distinguished alumni for their achievements and accomplishments spanning the industries of technology, non-profit, global accounting, service, commerce, and finance. The awards were handed out Friday, November 15, at an alumni awards reception to celebrate the winners.

Outstanding Alumni Award

Mike Fisher (MGT ‘00, GRS’ 13)

Mike Fisher is CEO of My FitnessPal, a nutrition and food-tracking mobile app used by more than 200 million users globally. Previously, Fisher was CTO at Etsy, where he played a key role in scaling the marketplace’s annual sales from $3.3 billion to $13.5
billion. Prior to Etsy, he co-founded AKF Partners, a consultancy that specializes in scaling companies, and served as CTO of Quigo, which was acquired by AOL.

Fisher received an MBA and PhD from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, a master’s in information systems from Hawaii-Pacific University, and a bachelor’s in computer science from the United States Military
Academy at West Point.

He has served as an adjunct faculty member in Design and Innovation at Weatherhead, and an executive-in-residence at the Veale Institute of Entrepreneurship at Case Western Reserve University.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mike serves on the advisory boards for Weatherhead’s product management MBA program and xLab. He is also a Fulbright Specialist, with an upcoming engagement to teach entrepreneurship at the Vienna
University of Economics and Business.

The Agent of World Benefit Award

Dorita Amin (MNO, ’11)

Dorita Amin received her master’s in nonprofit organizations from the Weatherhead School of Management in 2011 and currently serves as chief philanthropy and partnerships officer at World Food Program USA (WFP USA). She joined WFP USA in
2019 to lead its corporate partnerships program and to focus on engaging the U.S. corporate sector in supporting the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), while creating solutions to fight hunger around the world. In three years, she increased its fundraising impact from $10M to more than $27M annually, providing lifesaving food assistance for more than 140 million people in 120 countries and territories around the world.

In her 18-year nonprofit career, Amin has worked with several local, national, and international organizations, including Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign, Share Our Strengths Children’s Villages, and George Washington University. She was raised in Poland and is also a proud alumna of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, with an MA in European studies and BA in journalism and social communication.

Nakul Bijoor (GRS ’15)

Nakul Bijoor leverages his decade of on-the-ground experience as a manager of artificial intelligence, data and analytics at EY. He focuses on delivering data-driven solutions for major global clients across diverse industries ranging from healthcare to manufacturing and is a frequent speaker at data conventions, sharing enterprise data management trends with large audiences. Bijoor earned an MBA in engineering and management from the Weatherhead School of Management.

Ali Briggs Carvalho (CWR ’11)

Ali Briggs graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2011 with a dual degree in management and international studies. She got her MBA at Kellogg School of Management in 2019 while serving as an intern at Google and before co-founding LifeWeb 360. The platform celebrates loved ones who have passed on and keeps memories alive. The Chicago based business is a Techstars portfolio company. Prior to starting LifeWeb, Briggs was an advisor at EY and a consultant at Oliver Wyman, working on corporate strategy team at PepsiCo. While living in New York, she launched a pro-bono consulting program through Net Impact NYC in her spare time. She currently splits her time living in Boulder, Colorado and São Paulo, Brazil.

Eeshan Srivastava (MGT ’16)

Eeshan Srivastava earned his MBA from Weatherhead School of Management in 2016 and is currently a senior manager of decision science at Starbucks, where he leads a team of research scientists focusing on experimentation across critical areas such as loyalty marketing, digital and customer technology, and delivery partnerships. Prior to Starbucks, he held high-impact leadership roles at major enterprises including Amazon and Overstock. His innovative work in the field of experimentation, data privacy, data science, as well as his broader impact as a leader has led to substantially enhanced decision-making and operational effectiveness across these companies.

Ari Lewis (CWR ‘17)

Ari Lewis is the cofounder of Payload, a leading B2B media company covering the space industry. He previously cofounded OhioX, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to transforming Ohio into a prominent tech hub. His background also includes serving as a cryptocurrency advisor to the Ohio State Treasurer’s Office, where he played a key role in making Ohio the first state to accept Bitcoin for taxes. Additionally, he cofounded Green Block Group, a leading Ohio-based PR and public affairs firm, and Grasshopper Capital, a cryptocurrency fund, which was sold to Token Capital Management.

Su Latt (MGT ’18)

Su Latt graduated with an MSM in business analytics and is currently senior manager of analytics at Dentsu, where she specializes in data-driven strategies for top global brands. She has leveraged her expertise to shape impactful data strategies and optimize business outcomes and has been recognized as a Crain’s Cleveland Business 20 in their Twenties honoree in 2022 and as a Cardinal Health Marketing Analytics Challenge Award runner-up. Su also serves as a data analytics subject matter expert for the Northeast Ohio Equity in Tech initiative, preparing the next generation of professionals for the industry.
