Sandra English joined the Weatherhead School of Management in October as the assistant dean of career success. She will serve as the visionary leader in shaping the strategic direction of student engagement, career development and student outcomes. Her efforts will include enhancing student experiences, preparing students for professional and personal success, exploring career opportunities, cultivating employer partnerships, and driving successful career outcomes.
"I am excited to work with students, faculty, staff, alumni and employer partners," Sandra said. "I look forward to bringing my experience with career services and employer engagement to enhance the Weatherhead School of Management student success efforts."
Prior to this role, Sandra worked at the Lindner College of Business, University of Cincinnati. She is originally from Cleveland and is pleased to be back home. She is married and has a son in his second year of college studying computer science.
What makes you most excited about joining Weatherhead?
This is an ideal time to join the Weatherhead School of Management, with the bold leadership of Dean Medvedev that entails innovation, greatness and distinction. I have the pleasure of joining a team that is collaborative, welcoming and ambitious! It is an honor to be a part of this leadership team.
What do you look forward to working in the University Circle area?
Although I was born and raised in Cleveland, this is the first time that I am working in the University Circle area. I plan to explore fine dining, world-class culture and our beautiful parks. It will be a pleasure to share in the college experience with Weatherhead School of Management students.

I enjoy watching movies, spending time with family and friends as well as traveling. I have traveled all across the United States. During college I spent a semester abroad in Kenya which included an excursion to Zanzibar, Tanzania. In law school, I traveled to Ethiopia and Egypt. Most recently, I traveled with the University of Cincinnati Lindner Economics department to Norway, Denmark and Sweden. I plan to travel to many more countries with my family.
