MPOD Graduates to Present at Upcoming Organization Development Conference

Text: Agility and Resilience, 2019 OD Network Annual Conference

Faith Addicott, MPOD ’15, Organizational Development Consultant for Confluence Consulting Northwest, LLC, and Stacey Randle, MPOD ’15, Human Resources Professional for Education Opens Doors will present their paper Appreciative Inquiry – Co-creation, Emergence, and Inclusive Design at the upcoming Organization Development Network Conference. This year’s conference, held at The Westin in Las Vegas on October 17-20, will be focused on Agility and Resilience: Navigating Complexity and Transformation.

Addicott and Randle’s session will introduce attendees to the principles and practices of Appreciative Inquiry (AI). Through an experiential and co-created session, participants will learn the revolutionary results that are possible when clients and systems are engaged in inclusive, participatory, and creative processes that focus on the best possible aspects of the present and the future. Encompassing aspects of participatory leadership, design thinking, systems thinking, strengths-based assessment, and high engagement process, AI is a tool for uncovering the questions that most need to be asked in an organization, and for gifting the members of that organization with their own creative capacity to both ask and answer.
