Poets & Quants recognizes Assistant Professor of Economics for “prolific research and classroom prowess”
Since 2013, Roman Sheremeta, PhD has been a transformative addition to the Weatherhead School of Management. From consistently high marks on his teaching evaluations to his frequently sought-after research, Sheremeta has proved himself to be a “unique caliber of leader in the classroom”.
That is why he has earned a spot in Poets & Quants 2019 Best 40 under 40 Professors.
The award recognizes 40 up-and-coming educators from top global business schools for their outstanding academic research and drive to shape the next generation of business leaders.
Sheremeta, an assistant professor of economics, says what he enjoys most about teaching business students is helping them achieve their goals.
“Most business students are highly motivated individuals who will end up doing great things in their lives,” Sheremeta says in his Poets & Quants profile. “As a teacher, I can equip them to achieve those things.”
Sheremeta holds a PhD in Economics from Purdue University and teaches courses mainly on negotiation, game theory, microeconomics and behavioral economics. He is the recipient of several other awards and recognitions, including the Vernon L. Smith Ascending Scholar Prize, the Weatherhead Emerging Impact Award, the Wolstein Society Mentoring Award and Forbes Top Economic Thinkers.
