In the fall, Weatherhead School of Management welcomed Sandra English as Assistant Dean of Career Success in the Office of Career Management.
She serves as the visionary leader in shaping the strategic direction of student engagement, driving successful career outcomes, cultivating employer partnerships, and connecting students with alumni who work in their fields of interest.
Prior to joining Weatherhead, English worked as the assistant dean of Lindner Career Services at the Lindner College of Business, University of Cincinnati and as the assistant dean of career services and professional development for North Carolina Central University’s School of Law.
“I look forward to leveraging my experiences to ensure students are prepared to excel in an evolving job market,” English said. “Alumni play a crucial role in shaping student career success at Weatherhead.”

English and her team plan to help students connect with alumni more on LinkedIn, provide opportunities to participate in alumni events, and reach out to alums who work in their fields of interest.

The career management office also plans to help recent alumni in need of continued career guidance and support.
“We encourage alumni in need assistance to contact us,” said English. “We will develop proper mechanisms to assist as many alumni as possible and look forward to collaborating with alumni to meet the career needs of our current students.”
