Staff spotlight: Ana Merdita, executive aide & faculty affairs administrator

Case Western Reserve University and the Weatherhead School of Management celebrated Employee Appreciation Day this year on Friday, March 10. In honor of the day, Weatherhead is recognizing staff members throughout the month of March from a number of offices in the school. 

Executive Aide and Faculty Affairs Administrator Ana Merdita has enjoyed working for the university for the last decade––eight of those years with Weatherhead. Get to know more about Merdita and what has been her favorite memory during her time with Weatherhead:

What is something that you find exciting working in Weatherhead?

Learning about colleagues' backgrounds, history, journeys––we work with fascinating people.

What has been your favorite memory so far during your time in Weatherhead?

Whenever I'm able to help a colleague or student out––encouragement, reassurance, coaching. Always happy to help someone move forward personally, academically or professionally.

What do you love most about working at CWRU?

Developing relationships with colleagues, both staff and faculty––some wonderful people dedicated to WSOM and its students.

What is your favorite thing to do in Cleveland?

Great food scene and more recently, the new coffee shops opening up.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Always be true to yourself, no matter the situation or circumstances.
