Q: What are you up to this summer?
I’m working as a data analytics intern at the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, where I’m also finishing my capstone on the infant mortality gap under the guidance of Professor Francisca Richter! I’m also onboarding for my new job, which is a data analyst position at The United States Military Academy West Point.

Q: What do you do in this position?
I am helping with the PIT-UN project, which focuses on integrating community knowledge into social science and data science projects.

Q: How did you find out about this opportunity?
I had asked several people in the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development about their professional journey. After meeting with them and discussing their passion for what they do, I was highly interested in working with them and inquired about any available student positions!
