Q: What are you up to this summer?
I am a product management intern on the innovation team at Moen. 

Q: What do you do in this position?
I support and participate in internal and external workshops to generate, screen, and optimize a diverse set of new product ideas. This involves assisting with execution of research activities and reporting out communications. And assisting in developing content and concept boards for new product exploration. I also participate in team meetings and help with assigned activities to support cross-functional innovation teams, which include: marketing, product management, engineering, research and development, market research, industrial design and project management. 

Q: What led you to this internship?
This is an excellent opportunity for me to learn the product management lifecycle and implement my learnings from the program. This gives me an exposure to design thinking and innovation processes used in developing new products for the organization.

Q: What has been your favorite part of the internship so far?
The design thinking and innovation aspect. This has involved research and improvising on ideas to develop a new product with market insights and generating a new revenue stream to expand the category.

Q: What are you most looking forward to getting out of this experience?
Learning about product management in its nascent stage and understanding the ecosystem of a product development through ideation, testing and launch.
