Weatherhead School of Management Honors Region’s Top Companies with Weatherhead 100 Awards

Sara Shookman speaks at the Weatherhead 100 Awards ceremony

Last week, 100 companies from Northeast Ohio were recognized by the Weatherhead School of Management at the annual black-tie awards banquet for their example of leadership, growth and success in the region.

Established in 1988, the Weatherhead 100 awards are the premier celebration of the companies leading the way in Northeast Ohio. Organizations that make the list are recognized for their percent of revenue growth over the past five years.

The awards are separated into three categories: Upstart, Centurion and the Weatherhead 100. Upstart companies are fast-growing companies with 15 or fewer employees, or net sales of less than $5M in the last year. Centurion companies are fast-growing companies with at least $100M net sales last year. Weatherhead 100 companies are celebrated for big growth in net sales over the past five years – from at least $100K to at least $1M.

This year, three stellar companies topped the list in each category:

Upstart #1: Clum Creative - 1,068% sales growth

Centurion #1Providence Healthcare Management - 801% sales growth

Weatherhead 100 #1: Rock The House - 1,923% sales growth

The evening, in partnership with Crain’s Cleveland Business, was emceed by WKYC anchor Sara Shookman. Key Bank served as the presenting sponsor, and APEX Dermatology and Erie Bank were sapphire sponsors.

“The Weatherhead 100 is one of the barometers that we use to determine our success,” said Bill Davis, CEO of Echo Health, Inc., multi-year Weatherhead 100 winner and a part of the 2019 Centurion class.  “Every year we make it, and we make sure everyone knows about it and that they’re part of that success.”
