This month, Todd Kramer joined the Weatherhead School of Management as the director of finance, research and administration. Prior to this role, he served as the assistant director of finance for the Auxiliary Services Office at Case Western Reserve University. Get to know more about him:
What makes you most excited about joining Weatherhead?
The opportunity to learn more about the university’s operations from the academic side. I came from university central operations, so what’s exciting to me is to learn about all the different kinds of disciplines, funding models and research opportunities, as well as building the team to meet the unique needs of Weatherhead’s mission. I’m a team builder, so I enjoy developing groups of people into teams.
What do you love most about Cleveland?
It’s an international city without being presumptuous. You have all the amenities that you can get in Chicago, New York, San Francisco or Atlanta, without the attitude that comes with it. The midwest is very much a collection of diverse, yet interrelated communities with Cleveland being an amazing example of how those communities coexist, even succeed, while maintaining their uniqueness.
What is a fun fact that someone might not know about you?
I was a bouncer for 12 years in San Francisco!
