Weatherhead is dedicated to fostering a dynamic learning environment. Our sponsored partnership scholarships provides discounted tuition scholarships for candidates who have participated in the admissions and recruitment activities through the partnership. Candidates are selected based on merit and overall engagement within the partnership. Entrepreneurial Focused
The entrepreneurs scholarship at the Weatherhead School of Management is designed to support entrepreneurial leaders dedicated to addressing pressing societal issues. This scholarship covers full-tuition for at least one candidate in each of the graduate degree programs. Additionally, applicants not selected for the full-tuition scholarship may still be eligible to receive a tuition discount. The scholarship criteria include demonstrated leadership in entrepreneurial ventures, a proven track record of impact, strong academic performance, clear future goals, and alignment with the school's mission of fostering leadership, problem-solving, and social responsibility. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must apply through the program application process and all decisions will be finalized after the final admissions round. Nonprofit Fellowship
Weatherhead is committed to elevating leaders in the nonprofit sector who seek to advance research and professional growth by engaging in research that advance nonprofit missions, fostering community and societal improvement. The selection criteria is the demonstrated evidence of meaningful work in the nonprofit sector and an essay is required as part of the application for this fellowship–all of which you can find within the application for the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). Endowed Scholarships
Endowed scholarships at the Weatherhead School of Management are generously funded by alumni, donors, and friends of the school. These scholarships provide lasting support to our students, ensuring that future generations can benefit from a Weatherhead education. Endowed scholarships directly impact our merit-based awards and are decided upon after admissions as candidates must meet the specific criteria required for each endowed award. We are incredibly grateful to our donors and the legacy they have instilled. Below are a few endowed scholarships to highlight:
Established in 2006, this scholarship provides general support for students enrolled in the Weatherhead School of Management. It was funded through Charitable Gift Annuity agreements by Francis V. Baldo, PhD (MBA '60), who taught transportation management for over 30 years at the University of Akron.
Created in 2004 by Harry Cashy (Macc '86) and Maria Misthos, this scholarship supports students in the Masters of Accountancy Program. Harry Cashy is associated with Dynamic Surface Applications, LTD.
Established in 1999 by William W. (MBA '75) and Anna Jean Cushwa, this scholarship provides financial support to students at the Weatherhead School of Management. William Cushwa retired as Vice President of Planning for Commercial Intertech and served on the Weatherhead Alumni Association Board of Directors.
This scholarship was established in 1984 through a bequest from Maybell Sebek Donnell (BA '41, MBA '44), with additional contributions from her son Edward Donnell and the Edward and Rose Donnell Foundation. It supports students at the Weatherhead School of Management.
Created in 1999 by Robert C. Douglas II (MBA '72), this scholarship supports students in the full-time MBA program. Robert Douglas is an Executive Vice President with Mid-Continent Capital, LLC in Chicago.
Established in 2005 by the late Elizabeth C. Duke, this scholarship provides support for undergraduate students. Elizabeth Duke was the first female Master of Business Administration graduate of the school.
This scholarship was established in 2001 through a gift from John M. (BBA '42) and Barbara J. Emery. It supports students at the Weatherhead School of Management.
Yellow Ribbon Program
Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for Veterans who are 100% eligible for benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. This program allows institutions of higher learning in the U.S. to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the Veterans Affairs to help fund tuition expenses for veterans. As a Yellow Ribbon institution, we are proud to support this initiative to help make education more affordable for our veterans. Applying for scholarships at Weatherhead is a straightforward process. Candidates are encouraged to select to be considered for a scholarship directly through the application. Once the application is submitted and moves through the admissions process, the scholarship committee will review your full application and determine eligibility for the scholarship.
