The 2025 Weatherhead School of Management graduating class celebrated their momentous day on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center.
In a ceremony filled with pride and anticipation, graduates representing Weatherhead’s esteemed programs marked the beginning of a new chapter.
Dean Andrew Medvedev welcomed the Class of 2025 into the Weatherhead alumni network—a powerful, evolving community that supports lifelong success and helps new graduates launch their leadership journeys.
“Weatherhead alumni are known for challenging the status quo,” said Medvedev. “They take smart risks. And they lead with purpose. Starting today, you join them.”
Commencement speaker Joyce Erony (WRC ’81), managing partner at Amzak Health and a trailblazer in the life sciences venture capital space, inspired the audience with reflections from her career and a powerful message about embracing uncertainty, taking bold action, driving meaningful impact.
Drawing on her decades of experience investing in and guiding companies from early-stage development through IPOs and acquisitions, Erony encouraged graduates to lead with both purpose and resilience.
For Shelly Yi, graduating with her Master of Supply Chain Management from Weatherhead was more than a milestone—it was a powerful reflection of how far she’s come and a launchpad for all that lies ahead. Fueled by the challenges she embraced and the people who inspired her, she’s stepping into the future with confidence, pride, and purpose.
“Graduating from Weatherhead was such a powerful, emotional moment. It felt like everything we worked so hard for finally came full circle,” said Yi. “Standing there in my cap and gown, surrounded by people who inspired and challenged me every day, it was unforgettable. I’m so proud to be part of this incredible community and can’t wait to see where we all go next!
Following the ceremony, graduates, families, faculty, and friends gathered at the Peter B. Lewis Building to celebrate achievements and look ahead to the impactful futures these new alumni are poised to create.
