Mary Ellen ‘Mickey’ Hammad, R.N. (NUR ‘73) received the 2021 Daniel T. Clancy Alumni Service Award. After graduating from Case Western Reserve Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in 1973, Hammad stayed involved with the university in many ways. Hammad was instrumental in creating the university’s central Alumni Association and served for six years as a board member, and is recognized as an Emerita Board Member. Hammad was the founder and Chapter Leader of the Atlanta Chapter of The Alumni Association. Throughout her career, Hammad has received numerous awards and honors from Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nursing, for her contributions to the nursing profession.
