Dr. Hannah Regan (she/her) is a sociologist working in academic and applied research. She completed her PhD in Sociology at Vanderbilt University in 2022, and has been working in evaluative research of issues relating to gender and inequality since then. Her research focuses on intersectional identities, sexuality and relationships, and how they contribute to social inequality in a variety of areas including health, education, and the media. She uses both qualitative and quantitative techniques, with a feminist approach, to tell complete stories about social issues.
Dr. Regan has presented her work at conferences including the American Sociological Association, the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, and Sociologists for Women in Society. She has also published in Sexualities and Sexuality and Culture. She also enjoys teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses on gender and sexuality and methodological courses, as well as supervising and supporting student-led research projects.
