Full-time Case Western Reserve University faculty may be recommended for emeritus appointment upon retirement, usually January 1 or July 1. Qualifications include meritorious service to the university of 10 years or more and minimum age of 60.
Recommendations are reviewed at the school level in accord with its policies and submitted to the Office of the Provost the first business day of April (for appointment July 1) or of November (for appointment January 1). University trustees give final approval.
