Dear Faculty,
At Case Western Reserve, we're committed to leveraging technology for the greater good and to advance the work we do in the classroom. Last semester, an AI in Education Task Force began exploring AI integration in our educational processes, leading to the development of a five-year roadmap. This roadmap emphasizes promoting AI literacy, providing training, and expanding degree offerings.
To engage the community, we're starting a Lunch & Learn series focused on best practices at the university and the AI-related tools available for use at CWRU. These events will showcase AI technologies used in classrooms, featuring speakers who will share program details, student feedback, and lessons learned. Faculty who attend will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A sessions and view live demos.
Whether you're new to AI or looking to enhance your existing knowledge, this program will equip you with the tools you need to engage students and integrate AI effectively into your classroom.
The first event takes place this Friday, March 29 from noon to 1 p.m. in Kelvin Smith Library's Collaboration Commons. During this Lunch & Learn, Miro Humer, Vice President & Chief Information Officer and Indra Wangsawiredja, Instructional Designer/Technologist, will provide an introduction to AI followed by information on getting started with AI prompting to maximize the productivity of your generative AI assistant.
Lunch will be provided! Register below.
Sincerely,
Joy K. Ward
Provost and Executive Vice President
