The CeDiploma/CeCertificate is a an official, secure, and CWRU-validated, digital document that you can use to share proof of your credential.
You can obtain your CeDiploma or CeCertificate through the student portal which has a direct link to CeCredential Trust, a third party vendor of the university.
The CeDiploma/CeCertificate is $7.95 for CWRU graduates.
Currently CeDiplomas and CeCertificates are only available for Spring 2015 graduates and forward. We do offer a Degree Verification service for all alumni.
Your CeDiploma will be available to purchase and download three to four weeks after your degree has been conferred. A message will be sent to the email address you provided letting you know that it is ready.
Yes, you can download a digitally signed copy of your CeDiploma or CeCertificate. You can then email it to anyone and it will retain the Adobe Digital Signature and CeDiD for validation purposes.
No, the CeDiploma/CeCertificate cannot be printed; therefore, isn't suitable for Apostille use.
There are two ways to validate your electronic diploma/certificate.
- Go to the CeDiploma/CeCertificate validation page and enter the necessary identifiers to confirm the validity of the document.
- If you are using Adobe Reader or Acrobat 9.0 or higher, you will be able to view the Digital Signature shown at the top of the document. If the Digital Signature shows a blue ribbon, it means the document has not been tampered with. If any other symbol is shown, the document cannot be trusted.
Please note: other PDF/digital readers and some mobile devices may not be able to show the Digital Signature.
CeCredential Trust is the branded name of the digital signature that CWRU's vendor uses to digitally sign all CeDiplomas and CeCertificates.
This issue is due to the version of your operating system on your tablet or the PDF viewer that the browser is using to open the CeDiploma or CeCertificate. In the case of the iPhone/iPad, updating to the most recent iOS operating system sometimes solves the problem.
The CeDiploma/CeCertificate is best viewed in Adobe Acrobat™ or Acrobat Reader™. Some features may not be available when viewed in a web browser’s default viewer. Please change the default viewer in your web browser so that it utilizes Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
