The CWRU Office of Energy & Sustainability is looking for undergraduate students to become Sustainability Ambassadors for the 2024-25 school year. Sustainability Ambassadors are the Office of Energy & Sustainability's student outreach arm. Students work on teams assigned to different sustainability-related topic areas.
Ambassadors organize our annual energy contest, hold Annual Arbor Day events and complete the annual application to be a Tree Campus USA school, lead transportation surveys, help organize our Sustainability Office events like the Green Bag Lunch series, help green Greek life and many additional initiatives and projects.
Other past projects/events include:
- extensive commuting survey for our campus
- a free cycle event,
- headed up and did marketing for our res hall energy contest,
- organized an Arbor Day event,
- spearheaded meetings among local food and food waste related student groups
- ran a jeans recycling collection
- conducted energy evening energy audits of campus buildings
- conducted a microbead swap event
- ran our bike powered smoothie making Earth Day table
- helped craft our Recycle Regatta boat
