Weatherhead School of Management Partners with Ohio Wesleyan University to Offer Early Acceptance to Undergraduates

Weatherhead School of Management will admit high-achieving Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) juniors to its Master of Science in Management (MSM)-Finance program.

The program, which is a STEM-degree and offers courses in artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, allows students to select from four career-focused tracks:

  • Financial Big Data Analytics (STEM eligible)
  • Corporate Financial Analytics (STEM eligible)
  • Risk Management Analytics (STEM eligible)
  • Corporate Finance

“Collaboration and creating pathways to higher education are core values at the Weatherhead School, and we look forward to welcoming and working with the excellent students from Ohio Wesleyan as they pursue their educational and career goals,” said Ted Evans, senior director of admissions at the Weatherhead School.

Eligible Ohio Wesleyan students who have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher and have completed specific economics, business and accounting classes with a B-standing will receive a $10,000 scholarship for the program with the potential to receive additional merit-based scholarships.The students are also required to take either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) test, and have earned a score in at least the 75th percentile.

Stinemetz. “The Weatherhead School’s Master of Science in Management-Finance program will help OWU graduates to make valuable contributions in the areas of corporate finance, financial modeling, valuation, derivatives, risk management, and financial econometrics.”

Case Western Reserve is part of the CFA Institute University Recognition Program, with the Weatherhead School’s MSM-Finance program acknowledged for incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and emphasizing the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Graduates are well-positioned to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, widely regarded as the most respected investment credential in the world.
