In its first-ever Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program ranking by Fortune Education, Weatherhead School of Management was ranked 11th on Fortune’s “Best Executive MBA Programs” list for the 2022-23 academic year.
"We are delighted to be included in Fortune's ranking of EMBA programs," said Weatherhead Co-Dean J.B. Silvers. "This ranking reflects the highly distinguished working professionals in this program and the internationally renowned faculty who teach them."
In total, 55 schools were included in Fortune’s EMBA programs ranking. To rank these schools, Fortune used data collected via questionnaires submitted by schools, figures available on school websites, and information collected from companies and executives.
Weatherhead EMBA Leadership Award winners shared their experiences in the program when they learned of the new ranking.
Shefali Mahesh (MGT '21), chair of pediatrics at Akron Children's Hospital and Northeast Ohio Medical University, said "In addition to the knowledge, skills and network connections, the exposure to industrial diversity especially as a healthcare professional was extremely valuable. The absolute strength of the EMBA program is the progressive and consistent leadership training and how it links to strategy. The team-based approach, based on adult learning styles was another eye-opening experience and is an extremely effective strategy to apply as we develop project teams in the real world."
