GE Lighting IPF

The Innovation Prize Fund (IPF) is a mechanism developed by Case Western Reserve University to provide corporate partners the opportunity to enter into a research relationship while minimizing technical and financial risk.

The intent is to reveal technical synergies, in general, between IOTC and the Sponsor and to create long-term collaborations.

GE Lighting, a Savant Company, is partnering with the IoT Collaborative (IOTC) for an exclusive Innovation Prize Fund (IPF).

The GE Lighting IPF is for the research and development of innovative IoT products and services for their Cync product family. GE Lighting will invest $150,000 in this IPF.

Areas of interest include:

  • Expanding user benefits with existing devices (e.g., expanding capabilities of existing systems, third party integrations, energy savings)
  • Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science
  • New hardware capabilities (e.g., sensors, wireless communications, etc. as well as techniques to improve the user experience for installation, support, and maintenance)

Eligibility:

The GE Innovation Prize Fund is open to faculty at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University.
