Outcomes and Data

As a research university, Case Western Reserve places a high value on data—especially good, reliable data. It measures progress, reveals patterns and helps to determine next steps. We collect data annually about the career pathways of graduates to gather critical information for current and prospective students, families, alumni, employers and university leadership.

First Destination Survey

The First Destination Survey captures information about graduating seniors and what they plan to do upon leaving Case Western Reserve University. Graduates report that they are employed, attending graduate or professional school, available for full-time employment, or engaged in other plans that might include part-time work, military service, community service, family care, and more.

To address experiential education, students from each graduating class were asked whether they participated in experiential education activities and what impact these activities had on their post graduations plans.

National Alumni Career Mobility Survey

Case Western Reserve University has partnered with the Career Leadership Collective to participate in the National Alumni Career Mobility (NACM) survey, an annual national benchmark of alumni career pathways and mobility 5-10 years after graduation. The results of the survey will be used to better understand the career pathways of alumni and continuously improve how CWRU prepares graduates for their futures.

Summer Experience Survey

The Summer Experience Survey reports on the summer experiences of sophomores, juniors and seniors each year. Additional information is shared about internship and research experiences.
