Experiential learning is a cornerstone of the CWRU experience. In fact, over 98% of the Class of 2025 participated in experiential education, with nearly 73% engaging in multiple opportunities. As an Experiential Education (ExE) Ambassador, you will serve as the bridge connecting your peers to these transformative opportunities early in their college journey.

What is an ExE Ambassador?
ExE Ambassadors are volunteer student leaders who share their real-world stories and offer practical advice to fellow students. Ambassadors lead through storytelling, panel discussions, event support, and advocacy. Learn more below.
As an ExE Ambassador, you will commit to one full academic year (fall and spring), spending roughly 2 to 8 hours per month on activities such as:
- Panels & Presentations: Speak at Admissions Open Houses (at least 4 events/year) and student workshops to share your internship and experiential learning story.
- Event Leadership: Support major campus events, including volunteering at the semesterly Career Fair.
- Digital Storytelling: Feature in student spotlights, testimonials, and website/social media content.
- Advisory Role: Participate in 1–2 roundtable discussions per semester with Career Success staff to share student insights, highlight resource gaps, and help shape future programming.
- Onboarding: Attend a mandatory training session at the start of the fall semester.
While this is a volunteer role, it is designed to deliver high-yield professional development and unique campus access:
- Leadership Development: Gain meaningful public speaking, storytelling, and advisory experience to expand your resume.
- Exclusive Access: Receive invitations to exclusive networking events (such as Night of Networking) and enjoy early access to employers during Career Fair volunteering.
- Professional Growth: Participate in a private Strengths workshop designed specifically for the ambassador cohort.
- Financial Incentive: Earn a $50 gift card per year upon completing program participation milestones.
- Visibility: Gain campus-wide recognition through profile features on the Center for Career Success website, newsletters, and social channels.
We are seeking a diverse cohort of undergraduate and graduate students representing all Career Interest Areas (CIAs). To apply, you must:
- Be in good academic standing.
- Have completed at least one internship, co-op, or equivalent employer-based experience.
- Have completed at least one additional experiential learning activity (e.g., campus research, study abroad, student organization leadership, volunteering/service-learning, career trek, conference, or part-time employment).
- Feel comfortable speaking to small groups and representing CWRU positively.
- Be able to commit to the full academic year (fall and spring semesters).
Applications are due September 3. Interviews begin September 8. Decisions will be sent out roughly the week of September 14. Onboarding is tentatively scheduled for the week of September 21.
