Experiential Education

Experiential Education is an innovative approach to education that emphasizes hands-on training and includes:

  • internships
  • practicum
  • co-ops
  • research
  • volunteering
  • studying abroad

The Career Center coordinates and supports two primary Experiential Education programs: Internship and Practicum.

Be sure you know what type of Experiential Education opportunity will best suit you and your schedule. Keep in mind that opportunities should expose you to a field of interest. If you are unsure of which opportunity is right for you, schedule an appointment with a career consultant to discuss your search.

Experiential Education Database

The Career Center hosts a central database for students to search for and explore the many opportunities for experiential education sponsored and coordinated by CWRU. The database:

  • Allows students to search for and explore opportunities with ease;
  • Filters and sorts opportunities by type, interest area and more;
  • Connects students directly with program sites to learn more and apply; and
  • Increases visibility for programs.
