Inside Admissions is an exclusive speaker series that brings medical school admissions professionals together with Case Western Reserve University students and alumni for candid conversations about the admissions process. Through these school-specific sessions, students gain insight directly from admissions decision-makers while medical schools have the opportunity to engage with our highly engaged pre-med population.
Each session features a participating medical school and may include an overview of the institution's mission and curriculum, insights into the admissions process and applicant review, advice for prospective applicants, and an opportunity for live student questions.
About the Series
CWRU students apply to a wide range of medical schools across the country each year. Through Inside Admissions, we invite admissions teams to meet directly with our students in a CWRU-exclusive virtual or in-person session.
Sessions may include:
- An overview of the medical school’s mission, curriculum, and learning environment
- Guidance on the admissions process and applicant review
- Advice for prospective applicants
- Common mistakes or misconceptions
- Time for student questions

Session Format
Most sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes and may be hosted virtually or in person, depending on the admissions team’s availability.
A typical session includes:
10–15 minutes
Introduction to the medical school
20–25 minutes
Inside Admissions conversation about applicant review, institutional priorities, and advice for students
20–30 minutes
