Undergraduate students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program should work with their advisors in the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing.
Individuals who do not start the BSN Program as first-year students, but decide at a later time during their undergraduate years to pursue a nursing career have several options.
Entering the BSN Program after the First-Year
Students entering their second year at CWRU may decide to start the BSN Program, but this option will typically require a fifth year of undergraduate studies to complete the nursing curriculum. Students considering this option should meet with the BSN Program Director.
Senior Year in Professional Studies
Students in their junior year may apply to the Master of Nursing Program through the Senior Year in Professional Studies option. Admitted students enter the MN Program during their senior year, earn their BA from CWRU and simultaneously complete the first year of the two year Master of Nursing Program.

Master of Nursing Program at CWRU
Designed for students with a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing major, the MN Program offers a rigorous, accelerated interprofessional education with on-campus classes held at the new, state-of-the-future Health Education Campus.
MN Program students enter the program as either:
- Baccalaureate Prepared Students; or
- CWRU Seniors admitted into the Professional Studies Program
