The following incident took place off campus but CWRU PD would like to make the campus community aware.
Location of incident: Euclid & East 118th Street
Date of incident : 1/21/18
Time of incident: 1:00 am
Incident description: The victim exited the RTA bus and was approached by the suspect. The suspect asked the victim what he had in his bag. The victim told him nothing at which time the suspect brandished a knife and lunged at the victim in an attempt to take the bag. The victim fled northbound on E.118th Street.
Suspect description: The description reported to the police by the victim is a male, approximately 6 feet tall medium build, early 20's and wearing all dark clothing.
Additional information: Victim advised that he was not injured. Case Police and UCPD units responded and toured the area. The victim is not affliated with the university.
