Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting services are available for students, faculty and staff. These are often required for clinicals, internships, volunteering in schools, along with professional licenses such as nursing, teaching, legal, social work, dental, medical and more.

Payment

The department only accepts payment with credit card or a departmental account number.

  • Standard FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) fingerprint (FD-258) card: $20 

  • BCI&I (Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification) Electronic: $35

  • FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Electronic: $35

Appointments

Fingerprinting is handled by the CWRU police detectives by appointment only at the main campus police department, 1689 E. 115th St. Walk-ins are not permitted.

Appointments are scheduled for Tuesday mornings or Thursday afternoons. Special accommodations made on a case-by-case basis. Groups of 10 or more can arrange for an on-site fingerprint session.
