After celebrating 20 years of the Schubert Center, the center is excited to announce that we are beginning this academic year with the appointment of Associate Professor of Psychology, Anastasia Dimitropoulos, as Research Director. Dimitropoulos will lead the center’s research initiatives through the oversight of Faculty Associate involvement and our community-based research projects.
Dimitropoulos’s research focuses on examining behavior and cognition of individuals with neurodevelopment disorders. Currently, her research is directed at using telehealth to increase social cognitive ability in young children with Prader-Willi syndrome and autism spectrum disorders through remotely delivered intervention and parent training. In addition, she continues to work toward identifying reliable biomarkers for behavior change in these populations.
Dimitropoulos will be an invaluable asset to the Schubert Center as we continue bridging research, practice, policy and education for the improvement of the lives of children and adolescents.
