We are thrilled to offer four exciting research opportunities for our students.

Welter-Muzic Research Support
  • Small research grants

This grant ranges from $200 to $1000 to support undergraduates interested in experiential learning that focuses on child well-being and its implications for child-related policy. Some examples of supported activities include funds for attending scientific or policy conferences or workshops, purchasing materials such as software for research studies, and research participant stipends. • Welter-Muzic Continuing Research Fellowship

We invite CWRU undergraduate students who are already conducting mentored, child-focused research to apply for funds that will allow them to continue their experience with financial support. Read the details and apply here.

Schubert Research Fellows Program

We launched the Schubert Research Fellows Program in 2021 in collaboration with the Emerging Scholars Program (ESP), is open to CWRU sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the behavioral and social sciences. This fellowship aims to enhance students' research skills, knowledge, and academic networks by providing funding for mentored, child-focused research experiences under the direction of a Schubert Center for Child Studies Associate.

SchubertCenter@Intersections

SchubertCenter@Intersections is a competition to recognize and celebrate students who are researching children or adolescents. Cash prizes are awarded to the top projects covering various topics and disciplines, from engineering medical devices to analyzing social structures and policies. These opportunities provide invaluable experience and support for our students to make a meaningful impact in the field of child studies
