This family-friendly discussion, led by Dr. Cara Byrne, Research Adviser on Diverse Children’s Literature at the Schubert Center, will focus on diversity in children’s picture books. We will discuss how picture books can take us to new places and we will learn about contemporary picture books that celebrate historically-underrepresented groups. Light refreshments will be provided.
