Teaching Forward: An InspirED Celebration

Teaching Forward with a plant

Tuesday, April 28, 2026
9:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Herrick Room & Lobby, Allen Memorial Medical Library

Join us as CWRU faculty colleagues present and celebrate the creativity and impact of teaching and learning projects that advanced student learning during the 2025-26 academic year. Faculty and staff participants will hear from UCITE Nord Grant winners, our faculty cohort of Glennan Fellows, and Course Innovation Grant (UCIG) recipients through lightning talks, interactive panels, and a gallery walk of project posters. Colleagues will share how they transformed student learning through innovative, research-informed approaches.

We will also welcome special guest Kevin Gannon, Director of the Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence (CAFE) and Professor of History at Queens University - Charlotte. Professor Gannon is also the author of Radical Hope: A Teaching Manifesto. He will join us as our lunchtime keynote speaker and will also lead a hands-on workshop for teaching faculty and doctoral students/postdocs considering teaching careers in higher education.

Come be inspired by our colleagues’ work and celebrate a shared commitment to teaching excellence at CWRU!

Registration is now open!

Teaching Forward will be presented conference-style, with the ability to sign up for different sessions throughout the day.
