UCITE supports teaching and learning improvement and innovation through active engagement with colleagues, teaching assistant training, personalized school and department programming, and by maintaining a comprehensive browsing library of resources from the Science of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
Active Engagement
UCITE teaching consultations and pedagogical teaching observations are designed to help faculty analyze existing instructional practices to identify strengths and possible areas for alternative practice, all to improve student learning. For more information, please contact us.
Teaching Assistant Training
CWRU Teaching Assistants (TAs) are required by the Office of the Provost to complete a training program related to your responsibilities and potential assignments. TA duties may include grading, leading a lab, teaching a recitation section, or some other combination of teaching responsibilities. The aim of TA training is to help prepare you for these instructional roles and to familiarize you with CWRU policies and procedures.
SoTL Browsing Library
UCITE has over 600 titles representing the Science of Teaching and Learning literature! These resources are available for review by CWRU faculty. Stop by UCITE or contact us to learn more.
