Kelvin Smith Library will work to discover new and emerging technologies to enhance operations, tools, services, and resources to advance the research, teaching, and learning mission of the university.
Goals:
- Promote the development of AI services, programs, and expertise within KSL in alignment with the University's emerging focus on AI in education and research. Support AI awareness and dialogue about its impact on society and educational impacts to inform the CWRU community.
- Explore the integration of AI tools in applicable library services and workflows to enhance efficiency where possible
- Work closely with stakeholders including faculty and students to develop instruction and programs that create dialogue and support for the campus community as they grapple with the fast-paced evolution of AI and the impacts it has on teaching, learning, and research.
- Begin implementation of recommendations from the Open Scholarship Task Force.
- Build a Data Curation Program in Partnership with UTech and ORTM.
