As the Director of Jewish Lifelong Learning at CWRU’s Siegal Lifelong Learning, I would like to express my gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to contribute my experience and knowledge to enhance and further enrich the Jewish Lifelong Learning program.
The Jewish Lifelong Learning program is committed to providing a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where participants can explore the depth and breadth of Jewish history, culture, literature, ethics, philosophy, and more. I encourage you to share such opportunities with your family and friends and to take full advantage of the enriching educational opportunities that encompass our Jewish studies program. I would like to share a Talmud section that quotes Rabbi Chanina רַבִּי חֲנִינָא (Taanit 7a), who declared that, “I have learned much from my teachers, more from my colleagues and most from my students”:
“הַרְבֵּה לָמַדְתִּי מֵרַבּוֹתַי וּמֵחֲבֵרַי יוֹתֵר מֵרַבּוֹתַי וּמִתַּלְמִידַי יוֹתֵר מִכֻּלָּן"
Our community is our greatest resource, and I welcome you to contribute your ideas and experiences. If you have a topic you are passionate about, a personal experience you would like to share with others, or an idea for an educational activity, your contribution will be highly appreciated, as a community is as strong as its joint members. Your input is invaluable, and together we can create a vibrant and enriching learning environment that reflects the diverse interests and experiences of our local community and beyond.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any suggestions or want to discuss potential educational contributions to our program. I look forward to your active participation and the exciting learning experiences that lie ahead. Thank you for your continued support of Siegal Lifelong Learning.
