Winston Churchill stated, “The Holocaust was the greatest crime in the history of the world.” We will explore multigenerational works depicting children’s lost homes and the atrocities they endured. Art by major European and American artists—including Simon Wiesenthal, Louise Nevelson, Sol LeWitt, and Christian Boltanski—will be presented, along with Chagall’s powerful Crucifixions painted during and after the Holocaust. Through art, memory, and reflection, this unique course offers a compelling look at how creativity becomes a lasting voice for remembrance, resilience, and the shared human experience across generations.
